About Toby Gilley
Toby Gilley received his Bachelor’s degree in English from Middle Tennessee State University. He then went on to complete 2 years of graduate work in criminal justice at MTSU and to graduate with a law degree from the University of Tennessee. Toby has enjoyed teaching as an adjunct professor at MTSU and utilizes his skills as a professional mediator. Toby is also very active in community events and is an avid long distance runner.

Toby Gilley currently lives in Murfreesboro, Tennessee with his wife, Laurie, and their two young children, Isabella and Grant. He is a partner in the law firm of Rucker, Rucker, and Gilley, P.C. He was also elected to the city council in 2000, and was re-elected for an additional four-year term in 2004 and 2008. He is running for re-election for the city council position that he has held for the past twelve years. If re-elected, Toby plans to continue focusing on growing and improving schools, roads, safety, and nurturing economic growth in Murfreesboro.
