Throughout his years of service as a city council member, Toby has been a part of some of Murfreesboro’s biggest accomplishments. As Murfreesboro looks forward to tomorrow, here are some of the accomplishments Toby is proud of:

  • Crime across Murfreesboro is down by 5%
  • Property taxes have not increased in the last 13 years
  • The Siegel Soccer park opened and is one of the best in the nation
  • Murfreesboro City Fire Department achieved an ISO 2 fire rating (1 of only 4 in the state of Tennessee to have this rating)
  • City of Murfreesboro instituted the service to pick up yard waste and turn it into free mulch (saving space in land fills)
  • City of Murfreesboro firefighters are now first responders
  • Spring of 2007 “Rover” began its route around Murfreesboro and is a highly utilized, money saving source of transportation
  • Construction of the new Primary Care and Hope Clinic in the Gateway area. The Primary Care & Hope Clinic is a not-for-profit health care clinic providing high-quality, affordable health services to the uninsured and under-served families of our community. http://www.hopeclnc.org/
  • The Avenues opened, fall 2007. The Avenues offers more than 50 stores and restaurants.
